[Day 0]: “Everything here feels like it should’ve been gotten rid of yesterday.”

Today was supposed to be “Day 1” of a brand new daily routine but like so many others, the change I’m looking for it seems is going to begin with disappointment. Not the “didn’t get that salary bump” sort of disappointment. More like realizing how many times you will have to hear an alarm clock go off  before you die kind of disappointment.

Like realizing you once again failed to go to bed before 1 AM and didn’t wake up when you intended to. This is too simple to be so difficult.

Which is why I’m starting at “Day 0” because this post is all about the what, when, why, and how?

So let’s start.

The Goal

Morning Block [5 AM to 8 PM]

  • Wake up at 5 AM
  • Play  Workout Playlist
  • Make Bed
  • Exercise
  • Shower, Shave, get dressed
  • Make Breakfast
  • Work on a Book while eating
  • Meditate
  • Get to Work

Evening Block [10 PM to 11 PM]

  • Don’t leave room after 10 PM
  • Turn off all electronics by 10 PM
  • Be in bed by 11 PM

The worst that happens if I don’t Make a change.

I never feel comfortable in the design of my day to day life. More importantly I don’t accomplish the goals that I want with this particular method. The disappointment may convince me to not try again or just give up.  I live a life that is half full in every sense.

How can I repair the damage and get things back on track?

I can restart with pitfalls factored in and use the following reminders day to day to find my focus and drive if lost.

When I feel guilty?

“A part of you doesn’t want to do this, and it is not your enemy.”

When I feel Cynical?
“The following things have improved since last time I felt that way [list them]”

When I feel defeated?
“If it can be done by another it can be done by me.”

When I feel lazy?
“Right now I am doing _____ .”

When I feel like escaping?

“Everything is uncomfortable.”

What are the benefits?

I get to write everyday, start the day with more energy, be more healthier overall, hopefully look better due to being in better shape, revitalize and grow my confidence. Be more productive and have more time for profit driven ventures.

Daily Journal Format Using Today’s as an Example:

Summary:

Everything here feels like it should’ve been gotten rid of yesterday. This includes myself. My life feels like its been returned to me used and abused. It’s not bad but there’s so much cleaning and refurbishing to do. I didn’t go to bed on time. It’s an easy mistake to make
