Blood, guts, jump scares–all that I can handle.
But hearing someone I’ve known for years say that, in the same tone that I use to give my credit card number, was unnerving to say the least.
As I watch what is happening on the news, and I hear the stories of women I’ve known for almost a decade–I realize this Halloween is a nightmare of a different kind all together. I’m not sure what kind of comfort this blog can provide to those who have suffered so much. I hope it gives them comfort and courage, and I hope it reminds them of something that I believe in with all of my heart.
That Our Words Have Power Even When We Feel Powerless….

Our Words Make a Difference When They Are Heard

As a writer I feel for the first time that my writing can make a true difference. Not by people reading my works and being moved to change.
But by, hopefully, people finding the courage to find the power of their own words and be reminded that their words matter and they will be heard.
To the women in my life that have suffered I want to say that:
I love you, and that from this day forward I will be the best man that I possibly can be in honor of your struggles.
